Gilda Garcia is Executive Assistant for CIEE’s Electric Grid Research program. Working from the Sacramento office, where she also serves as Office Manager, she supports research administration and program initiatives for the Electric Grid program. She also provides office support for CIEE’s Carbon Sequestration program in its contributions to WESTCARB (West Coast Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnership). As Office Manager, she leads the organization of information, technology, space, and other resources for Sacramento staff.

Gilda has more than 35 years of administrative experience, including 28 years at the University of California (UC). Before coming to CIEE, she worked as a manager in information technology on the UC Davis campus, where she gained a thorough understanding of campus structure, UC policies and procedures, and compensation. This extensive background, along with a passion for contributing to California’s energy future, provides an excellent foundation for her current role supporting the Electric Grid team and its stakeholders. She is consistently recognized for creative problem solving and efficiency improvements. Gilda holds a Liberal Arts degree with a focus on business administration from American River Community College.
